Catney One for Cats - 30 x 520 mg

Catney® One is a dietary supplementary feed specifically developed to support kidney function in cats with chronic renal insufficiency. It reduces the absorption of phosphate.

The active ingredient in Catney® One is lanthanum carbonate. Lanthanum carbonate works by binding to phosphate in the diet, reducing the absorption of phosphate in the intestines. This prevents phosphate from entering the bloodstream, helping to keep blood phosphate levels under control.

The benefits of lanthanum carbonate compared to other phosphate binders (based on calcium carbonate) are:

• No risk of aluminum toxicity.
• Safety has been demonstrated by The Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP).
• The effectiveness of lanthanum carbonate is equal to that of calcium carbonate, but the risk of hypercalcemia is lower.
• Lanthanum carbonate is the only phosphate binder registered in the EU (efsa-reg.nr. 4d23) for use in cats with chronic kidney disease.

Composition:

• Maltodextrin (derived from potatoes and corn)

Additives:

• Other zootechnical additives: lanthanum carbonate octahydrate (4d23) 880 g/kg.

Analytical constituents:

• Crude protein (1%), crude fibers (8-10%), crude oils and fats (0%), crude ash (60%), calcium (0%), phosphorus (0%), potassium (0%), sodium (0%).

Packaging: 30 x 520 mg

Storage conditions: Store in a dry place at room temperature (15 - 25 °C).

Application:

It is recommended to seek veterinary advice before using or extending the use of Catney® One. One stick of Catney® One (containing 455 mg lanthanum(III) carbonate octahydrate) is given daily with food for a period of 6 months. Avoid concurrent use of feeds with a high phosphorus content. Provide water freely.

Store between 15-25°C, keep dry.

1.) Tear open the stick at the top. 2.) Sprinkle the granules over the food. 3.) Mix the granules thoroughly with the food. 4.) Serve the mixed food to the cat.
