Example of Virkon™S calculation in drinking water with Dosatron D3WL2VF:

A. CONSUMED WATER & TARGET DOSAGE OF Virkon™S DATA:

• Average daily water volume in the barn: 2000 liters of drinking water/day

• Maximum final concentration of Virkon™S: 1 g/liter of drinking water, in this calculation we assume 0.5 g/liter (0.05%)

B. DOSATRON DOSING MODEL & ADJUSTMENT:

• Dosatron D3WL2 VF adjustment (0.2% to 2%): 0.5% (1/200)

C. PREPARATION OF THE STOCK SOLUTION:

• Amount of Virkon™S for 24 hours = 2000 l/day x 0.5 g/l: 1 kg Virkon™S powder
• Volume of stock solution consumed per 24 hours = 2000 liters / 200 (0.5%): 10 liters/day stock solution
• Concentration of Virkon™S stock solution = 0.5 g/l x 200: 100 g/l in stock solution
• For 10 days stock solution multiply the result by 10: 100 liters of water with 10 kg Virkon™S"
