Does your dog regularly eat grass? Does he suffer from soft or irregular stools, a gurgling stomach or excessive gas? If so, there is a good chance that he is not getting enough fibre. Many modern dog foods contain insufficient dietary fibre, which can affect intestinal transit and lead to digestive issues.
Protexin Pro-Fibre Advanced is a highly palatable pellet containing an exceptional 45% fibre, combined with probiotics and prebiotics. Developed by Protexin—one of the most respected names in veterinary digestive health—and recommended by veterinarians worldwide.
The fibre content helps produce firmer stools. Firm stools apply natural pressure to the anal glands, helping them empty properly—a common issue in dogs with consistently soft stools.
Pro-Fibre Advanced combines both fibre types. Soluble fibres (psyllium husk and sugar beet fibre) slow intestinal transit and absorb water, helping to firm stools. Insoluble fibres (wheat bran and lignocellulose) stimulate bowel movement and promote regularity.
The pellets contain Enterococcus faecium (1×10¹⁰ CFU/kg), supported by Preplex® prebiotics consisting of fructo-oligosaccharides and acacia gum. Prebiotics feed beneficial gut bacteria, while probiotics help replenish them, supporting a balanced intestinal microbiome.
The pellets contain an artificial beef flavour. Most dogs readily accept Pro-Fibre Advanced when mixed with their regular food.
Pro-Fibre Advanced can be used daily as a long-term maintenance supplement. During initial treatment, your veterinarian may recommend additional probiotic supplementation.
