A change of food, a stressful move or eating something they shouldn't have: your dog's or cat's stools can easily get out of balance. Sectolin Digest Gel+ is a complementary feed made with 100% natural ingredients that helps maintain a normal stool structure.
The base is psyllium husk (ispaghula). When it meets moisture, this fibre forms a soft gel. The gel binds water in the gut and supports normal transit and well-formed stools. As a prebiotic, psyllium also feeds the beneficial gut bacteria, supporting a balanced gut flora.
Digest Gel+ also contains humic acids from a brown coal product and feed charcoal. These are natural raw materials with a long history of use in animal nutrition.
1 teaspoon is approximately 2–3 grams.
| Animal | Amount per day | Example | Tub (100 g) lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cat | 1 g per 2 kg | 4 kg cat: 2 g (± 1 teaspoon) | approx. 50 days |
| Dog | 5 g per 10 kg | 10 kg dog: 5 g (± 2 teaspoons) | approx. 20 days |
| Dog | 5 g per 10 kg | 20 kg dog: 10 g (± 4 teaspoons) | approx. 10 days |
| Dog | 5 g per 10 kg | 30 kg dog: 15 g (± 6 teaspoons) | approx. 6–7 days |
Mix Digest Gel+ into the food and give it as a 1 to 2 week course. Always provide plenty of fresh drinking water: the fibres need moisture to form a gel.
If in doubt, consult your vet, especially if stools don't improve after a few days. Also see your vet if your pet is vomiting, lethargic or has blood in the stool.
Psyllium husk (ispaghula), brown coal product (rich in humic acid), feed charcoal.
Store in a cool, dry place and close properly after use. Keep out of the reach of children.
What's the difference between Digest Gel+ and Iso Gel?
Both contain psyllium husk. Iso Gel consists mainly of psyllium (90%). Digest Gel+ combines psyllium with humic acids and feed charcoal, for those looking for a broader formula.
Does it work for both loose and hard stools?
Psyllium binds excess moisture and softens hard stools. That way it helps normalise structure in both directions.
How do I give it to my cat?
Mix the right amount into wet food. For a 4 kg cat, that's about 1 teaspoon a day.
How long can I give Digest Gel+?
Give it as a 1 to 2 week course. If you want to give it for longer, please talk to your vet.
Is your pet on medication?
Feed charcoal and fibre can bind substances in the gut. Don't give Digest Gel+ at the same time as medication, and check with your vet.
