Fleas and tick control dogs and cats

About 1 in 5 ticks in the Netherlands are infected with the bacteria that causes Lyme disease. Every year 1 in 10 people is bitten by a tick and about 27,000 people become infected with Lyme disease. Cat or dog owners are 1.5 times more likely to get a tick bite! For example, your dog or cat may bring home a tick. In the house, the tick can start looking for a new host...maybe that's you! Preventive protection against ticks is therefore a matter of animal welfare and public health.

Most tick bites are not only incurred in the forest (43%), but also in the garden (31%)! Ticks hide in the (tall) grass, usually in the shade. They are only a few millimeters in size and are therefore very difficult to detect in your animal's fur.

Help, nasty fleas in my house!

A female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day. And the problem is that you often don't see fleas until it's too late... Before you know it, you'll have a flea infestation in your home! Flea larvae and pupae then sit between your couch, carpet, pillows and bedding, not a good idea!

Once fleas are there, they won't just disappear. It takes an average of 2 to 3 months to get your home flea-free again.
